We use the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine which are effective for physical, psychological and emotional conditions. We specialize in rejuvenation and longevity using acupuncture and Chinese herbs to heal one's energy, essence and spirit.

Traditional Chinese Medicine began with a Taoist philosophy which views a person as an energy system in which body and mind work as a unit influencing and balancing each other. Unlike Western medicine which separates the disease from the person, Chinese medicine utilizes a holistic approach to treat the whole body.

Dr. Rae is trained in many different types of acupuncture:

Traditional Chinese acupuncture - Most commonly used type. This is the standard method taught in most schools in the US and practiced here.

Ear acupuncture - Often used to help patients reduce the cravings for cigarettes NADA protocol), drugs and alcohol, it is also used as an adjunct for weight loss. The ear resembles a fetus upside down and as such every part of the body has a point or area on the ear that can be used for many physical, emotional and psychological issues.

Scalp acupuncture - Used for motor and sensory problems,tremors, psychological and physical issues.

Hand acupuncture - Korean hand acupuncture treats a plethora of issues and is used in Master Tung's treatment protocol.

Ashi acupuncture - local points are used at the site of thepain. Personally, I never use this as I don't re-injury the area.

Master Tung's Acupuncture - Originated from one of the most famous acupuncturists in Taiwan, Master Tung. I am an advanced practitioner of Master Tung's protocol and believe it is a faster method for relief and efficacious treatment. They are often referred to as the Magic Points and for good reason.

Acupuncture Health LLC is owned and founded by Dr Rae K du SSollae DOM, L.Ac, NP. Dr Rae was educated and licensed in California which leads the country in its education in Oriental Medicine. She is licensed in three states. She brings her expertise in acupuncture, Chinese herbology and nutrition to Pittsburgh. There is over whelming evidence that the future of medicine will turn more and more to alternative methods, especially Chinese herbology and acupuncture. The most prestigious hospitals and medical centers in the world are now incorporating acupuncture and herbs into their programs.
